About Martin Leman
Born in London in 1934, Martin Leman trained at Worthing School of Art and the Central School of Arts & Crafts. After a distinguished career in design and advertising, including teaching graphic design at Hornsey College of Art, he shifted his focus to painting in 1971.

His work has been widely exhibited, including at London’s Portal Gallery and other international venues. Known for over 20 books inspired by his cat paintings, Martin’s art enjoys acclaim in the USA, Japan, and beyond. A member of the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Watercolour Society, he regularly showcases his pieces at prestigious events such as the RA Summer Exhibition, Mall Galleries, and Bankside Gallery.
